Piano Firsts

Her very first recital. So composed!

We said goodbye to her wonderful teacher and his stunning studio tucked into a 17th-century canal house. Neither is easily replaceable.

Jingle Bells

She had only just learned this one that day.

What a joy to see her joy, and to watch her acquire skills I could only dream about . . .

Oh what fun it is to ride . . .

Mary Had a Little Lamb

We're going to be listening to this tune for months to come, thanks to the arrival of this baby.

In English and Dutch.

AKS's lessons are in the most amazing 17th-century canal house on Prisengracht, the outer most canal of Amsterdam's three main canals built in the 1600's.

Everything about the location and the building scream Amsterdam. Such a bummer the teacher makes me stay for the lesson since she is so young . . . I just hate soaking up such authentic experiences.  :-)

Aba-licious named all the keys in honor of some her favorite people (and dogs).  Sorry to all of you out there, whom she also loves, but who don't have a name starting with A,B,C,D, E, F or G!  And sorry to anyone whose name starts with "B."  The girl loves butterflies.
