We went from summer to fall, just like that. From 90 degrees to the mid-60's, all in one day's drive from Italy to Holland.
Autumn is my favorite season. I love it all, from the chill in the air to the seasonal foods to the back-to-school flurry.
Today, we returned to our neighborhood Saturday market, and I have grand plans to make a chicken tangine tonight (hoping to emulate the amazing Moraccan food in the south of France), and eggplant caviar tomorrow (fancy name for a simple roasted eggplant and garlic spread).
Doug and the kids found ingredients for a home food lab, to learn how to describe their taste preferences. Very cute!
