We LOVE Portugal. This was an amazing trip. I can't wait to go back some day.  I mean, everything north of Lisbon certainly deserves a separate trip.  :-)

Seaside town of Albufeira:

Live Fado music at the resort. Fado music can be traced back to the 1820's and came out of the older neighborhoods of Lisbon. The music centers around the Portuguese guitar (seen below at left), which is a special acoustic 4-string guitar, and mournful lyrics.
