School or Bust!

EVERYONE was excited for school to start again.

After a month away, we allowed ourselves a whopping day and a half to get ready for the new school year.  We practically walked off the plane and into the school yard.  BUT, we did it!

Kids are over-the-moon to be home and back in school.  They said they couldn't wait to get homework (let's see what the talk is a few months from now), and A said she wished she could live and sleep there, just to do school all the time.

Off they go!  CP and CE1 at the LycĂ©e, aka first and second grade!

It was only a half day, and for good reason. The first day of anything is always exhausting. Reese crumbled for a while, but was good to go after a giant plate of pancakes. We even made it to ballet, piano and swim classes in the afternoon.

Our hearts ache for good friends who moved back to the U.S. this summer, and we keep inadvertently looking for them in all the usual places. I'm sure we'll adjust soon, but for now it's kind of weird and lonely.

Wednesday afternoons on the parent observation deck isn't the same without you, SF and LL. Love you!
