Miley is a (unfortunate) blip on the screen of other worthy artists who have all titled a song "Wrecking Ball," like Emmy Lou Harris, Neil Young, Gillian Welch, and Bruce Springsteen.
Emmy Lou is currently touring Europe with the re-release of her 1995 album, "Wrecking Ball." One of the highlights of my mom's recent visit was getting to see Emmy Lou perform at the historic Royal Theatre Carre here in Amsterdam.
And it's just a wee cool that my mom and Emmy are neighbors in Nashville, TN, and that Emmy hooked us up with great seats and backstage passes. Thanks Emmy! It was a very special night out.
